چکیده

The non-linear sigma model is a well-established theoretical tool for studies of transport and thermodynamics in disordered electronic systems. conventional approach interacting systems does not account particle-hole asymmetry. It therefore suited studying quantities that are sensitive to this effect such as the thermoelectric coefficient. Here, we derive minimal extension Keldysh tailored two-dimensional We argue can be used systematically study combined interactions disorder on transport. As first step direction, use analyze structure heat density-density correlation function calculate interaction corrections its static part. calculation dynamical part thermodynamic coefficient left future work.

Coulomb drag between disordered two-dimensional electron-gas layers.

We derive and evaluate expressions for the frictional Coulomb drag between disordered two-dimensional electron gas layers. Our derivation is based on the memory-function formalism and the expression for the drag reduces to previously known results in the ballistic limit. We find that Coulomb drag is appreciably enhanced by disorder at low temperatures when the mean-free-path within a layer is c...

Single Particle Spectrum of the Two Dimensional Electron Gas

Accurate spectroscopy has driven advances in chemistry, materials science, and physics. However, despite their importance in the study of highly correlated systems, two-dimensional systems (2DES) have proven difficult to probe spectroscopically. Typical energy scales are on the order of a millielectron volt (meV), requiring high resolution, while correlated states of interest, such as those fou...

Uniform Electron Gas from Two-particle Wavefunctions

A common approach to the many-electron problem (atoms, molecules and solids) is its transformation into a fewer-particle problem. In Density Functional Theory 2 (DFT) one rewrites the ground-state energy of a many-electron system as a functional of just the one-electron density n(r), the diagonal part of the oneparticle reduced density matrix. In recent years, much attention has been devoted to...

Deep Tail in the Density of States of a Disordered Two-Dimensional Electron Gas

A theory is given of the density of states (DOS) in the low-energy tail for the disordered twodimensional electron gas (2D EG) in a semiconductor heterostructure subjected to Gaussian random fields of any origin (especially of short range). The calculation is carried out by means of a path-integral technique within the approximation based on a non-local harmonic modelled action and that of the ...
